OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
The Alt Urgell offers various businesses and facilities for the practice of nature-related sports. The Alt Urgell’s iconic sports facility is the Parc Olímpic del Segre, where you can go canoeing, rafting and hydrospeed. Adventure sports also have their place in Organyá, where you can paragliding from the mountain of the Cogulló, and in Bassella, where you will find a circuit enabled for the driving of off-road vehicles.
NATURAL PARKS – CATALAN PYRENEES
Cadí Moixero Natural Park
It is a protected area that occupies 41,060 ha and comprises 17 municipalities of three different counties. Located in the Pre-Pyrenees, it is considered a mountain park for its orography ranging from 800 m to 2,648 m. The mountains that form it are the Sierra del Cadí, the Sierra del Moixeró, the Pedraforca massif and part of the Tosa and Puigllanca.
Aigüestortes Park Natural
It is located in the most northwestern part of Catalonia, between the counties of Upper Ribagorca, Pallars Sobir, Pallars Juss, and Val d’Aran. It brings together all the characteristic elements of the high mountain and configures a magnificent synthesis of what is the great Pyrenean mountain range in its central, more continental area.
